Garajonay National Park Tour La Gomera: departure from Valle Gran Rey to Arure. Visit to the El Santo vantage point where, weather permitting, we can see the picturesque town of Tagaluche and the island of La Palma. We continue on to Laguna Grande, the Visitors Centre (Juego de Bolas), and Contadero where our walk starts, taking us to the highest point of Garajonay (1,487m altitude), where you can see the neighbouring islands of Tenerife, La Palma and El Hierro. Descent to Las Paredes where the coach is waiting for us. Duration: approx. 1 ½ hrs. Easy walk. We carry on to Igualero which is the highest village on the island, Chipude for La Gomera pottery and El Cercado (typical lunch optional). Return to Valle Gran Rey via Las Hayas.
