Tenerife to Lanzarote Flight and Day Trip
Tenerife to Lanzarote Flight and Day Trip: Pick-up from the airport. We start out for Yaiza, going past Puerto del Carmen and passing through the villages of Mácher and Uga. Breakfast. Then head for the place where the camels are kept next to the Timanfaya National Park entrance. We will then take a 20-25 minute camel ride. Next, we will visit the Mountains of Fire from the Islet of Hilario, where we will see some volcanic/geothermal demonstrations followed by the Volcano Route, where we can see inside the park and its numerous volcanoes as we hear a description of the eruptions written by the Yaiza priest in the 18th century.

We then cross the La Geria vine-growing region, an interesting area which has been altered by the locals to provide protection from the winds for their vineyards, which finally produce excellent Lanzarote wines. After lunch we head for the north, passing through the villages of Teguise, the former capital of the island, Los Valles (the Valleys) and Haría, where we can have a wonderful view of the valley of the thousand palm trees, visiting the Jameos del Agua where we can see the blind crabs which are so typical of this spectacular setting, conditioned by the Lanzarote-born artistic genius César Manrique. We finally head to the airport for our return flight. Including flights, breakfast and Including lunch.
